Our Team
One for the World is run by a small team of effective giving advocates committed to building a movement of effective philanthropists.
Based in California, Connecticut, New York, Florida, Minnesota, Washington DC, and Mexico City the One for the World team works in a fully-remote office.

Frank Fredericks - Executive Director
Frank Fredericks joined One for the World in June 2024, after his role at Accenture, where he was Senior Entrepreneur, and served as Lead for the Social Innovators Accelerator. Previously, Frank founded World Faith, a global nonprofit working to end religious violence, and Mean Communications, a digital agency for social good. Frank has written for the Huffington Post, Washington Post, and Sojourners. Frank is a graduate of NYU and received his MBA from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University as a Global Shaper Scholar. Frank lives in Queens, New York City.
Sarah Braden - Program Director
Sarah has a background in mathematics, education, and nonprofit work. Sarah is skilled in program management and expansion, as well as data-driven decision-making, and earned her Master's of International Education Policy from Harvard University. Sarah developed programming with positive outcomes for families in Dallas, TX through the United Way, and led strategy for student-facing initiatives at St. John's University in Queens, NY. Sarah taught secondary school mathematics as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique, which inspired her to pursue work centered on alleviating extreme poverty globally.
Fabiola Gil Rodríguez - Senior Program Manager
Fabiola joined One for the World in August 2025 as Operations Lead and transitioned into her current role as Senior Program Manager in June 2026. She brings 12+ years of experience in international organizations (including the United Nations), with expertise in training program design and delivery, community building, and stakeholder engagement. Fabiola holds a BA in International Relations from UNAM and an MA in Sustainable Peace from UPEACE. Originally from Costa Rica and now based in Mexico City, she is passionate about human rights, gender equality, social justice, and sharing the power of effective giving. She enjoys reading, cooking, staying active, traveling, and quality time with family and friends, and firmly believes in leading with kindness.
Liz Durán - Product Engineer
Liz joined One for the World in June 2025. She is a Computer Engineer passionate about STEM and education. She leads initiatives where technology can create meaningful community impact, designing learning programs, delivering technical training and events, and fostering inclusive tech adoption through community building. Based in Mexico City, Liz enjoys photography, dancing, and drawing mandalas in her free time.
Arturo Sánchez López - Digital Communications Manager
Arturo Sánchez is a marketing communications professional with over a decade of experience developing communication strategies across both the corporate and agency worlds. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations build meaningful relationships through storytelling, integrated marketing, and audience-first communication. At One for the World, Arturo is excited to use those same skills to help more people discover the power of effective giving. He believes the best communication doesn't just inform, it helps people make better decisions for themselves and for others, and sees joining One for the World as part of his own journey toward building a life where purpose and profession go hand in hand. Outside of work, Arturo is passionate about intentional living, personal growth, and wellbeing. He believes that becoming a better communicator starts with becoming a better human being, and that meaningful change begins with the small choices we make every day.
Varun Bandi - Chief Technology Officer (Fractional)
Varun joined One for the World in June 2025, after having worked in a variety of technical roles from engineering to managing software teams and leading technical programs and strategy at companies such as Amazon, Uber and Grubhub. He’s passionate about using technology for good, and currently is working on a financial literacy app, and volunteering for a local food bank. Outside of work, he enjoys tennis, reading, writing, and hosting cocktail and dinner parties in Brooklyn, NY.
Ana Gutiérrez Ulibarri - Operations Manager
Ana joined One for the World in July 2026. She brings over 10 years of experience in international nonprofit operations and communications, most recently at Smile Train across Latin America where she built operational frameworks, coordinated large-scale international events, and collaborated with cross-functional teams across multiple countries. Before that, Ana spent several years with Up with People managing production logistics and training coordination for global tours across 8+ countries, including creating and facilitating educational workshops centered on social justice. For Ana, meaningful work has always meant work that makes a difference in people’s lives. Based in Mexico City, she is passionate about traveling, music, films, and spending time with the people she loves.
Patricia Ramirez - Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (Fractional)
Patricia joined One for the World in March 2025. She brings experience across marketing, branding, and communications from in-house leadership roles at Fortune 500s and startups as well as on the agency side. With a passion to do good, Patricia has volunteered for United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girls Inc., and as a guest lecturer for Pepperdine University’s microenterprise program, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities. Patricia earned her undergraduate degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern California and completed one year of law school at Chapman University. Based in Manhattan, NY, Patricia enjoys cooking, travel, and staying active with tennis, hiking, and pilates.

Christine Del Hierro - Marketing & Communications Volunteer
Christine joined One for the World in September 2025. She is a creative multimedia strategist with over a decade of experience shaping brands through design, storytelling, and cultural insight. Originally from Ecuador and now based in Orlando, her work spans global advertising agencies, startups, and mission-driven organizations. She has led projects across brand strategy, social media, influencer campaigns, and digital production for multiple brands across diverse industries, translating complex ideas into work that feels clear, relevant, and human.
At OFTW, Christine supports marketing and communications through creative storytelling and social strategy that help make effective giving feel approachable and relevant. Outside of work, she’s always collecting experiences—traveling when she can, chasing roller coasters, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Our Interns
Hannah Owens Pierre - Campus Chapters Program Intern
Hannah joined One for the World in May 2026. She is a junior at Yale University majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Psychology. She has been the president of Yale Effective Altruism for the past two years, and her passion for global health led her to One for the World. Her work with One for the World centers on expanding chapter resources for university groups and growing outreach for effective giving. Hannah enjoys reading, going to the gym, and playing guitar.
Lael Gebregziabher - Communications Intern
Lael started interning with One for the World in June of 2026. She is a sophomore at Yale University studying Environmental Studies with a focus on policy and Political Science. She first learned about One for the World through Yale Effective Altruism, in which she completed a fellowship on effective giving and now contributes as social chair. During her time with One for the World, she will be creating and editing digital content. She hopes to work in climate policy one day, but at the moment, she likes to read and explore her hometown, Seattle, in her spare time.
Ian Habich-Ramirez - New Chapter Expansion Intern
Ian joined as an intern in May 2026. He is a rising junior studying mathematics at UC Berkeley, where he organizes for the local effective altruism, animal welfare, and AI safety groups. In his free time, he enjoys seeking out the most effective ways to do good, and is interested in moral philosophy, welfare economics, and the natural sciences. At One for the World, Ian's role is to support the development of new student chapters, and he is excited to help spread the effective giving movement across universities worldwide.
Board of Trustees
Katharina channeled her views on the need for greater accountability and efficacy in the non-profit sector into leading the Penn Law chapter while earning her JD/MBA. She's worked for and with a range of non-profits and is currently an associate at Cooley LLP.

Robert Colonel is a manager of Foreign Exchange Research at Bridgewater Associates. In college, Robert wanted to pursue "Earning to Give" to maximize his impact on the world through personal charity donations and persuading other individuals to donate. Robert focuses on governance and organizational strategy on the One For the World board.

Kate is a partner at Blue Peak Law Group specializing in intellectual property litigation. She is passionate about effective giving and the "earn to give" movement. Kate obtained her law degree at Stanford University and her undergraduate degree from Yale University. She is currently based in Boise, Idaho.
Kate Falkenstien
Joshua is at the World Bank Group’s private sector investment arm, the International Finance Corporation, where he focuses on developing products to attract private capital investment into emerging market private debt.
Previously, he’s worked for the World Bank and Innovation for Poverty Action in Sierra Leone, conducting randomised controlled trials on aid and policy interventions.
The insight this provided into efficacious, cost effective philanthropic opportunities led Josh to be part of the founding team at One for the World while he was an MBA student at the Wharton School.
He’s based out of London and would love to discuss how you can launch a One for the World chapter.
Joshua McCann
Allyson is a Staff Data Scientist at Airbnb, and part-time lecturer at the University of Chicago. Previously, she worked as a Senior Economist at Amazon, and with the US Office of Evaluation Sciences and Innovations for Poverty Action in Sierra Leone, conducting randomised controlled trials on various policy interventions. She is passionate about promoting evidence-based public policy and philanthropy. Allyson obtained her PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California - Berkeley and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently based in Chicago, Illinois.
Allyson Root
Danielle is a Principal Consultant at Premier Advisory Group, where she leads national efforts to improve access to inclusive education in the UK. She has focused her career on making institutions and systems more equitable, with experience spanning public policy, programme design, and nonprofit development across government, grassroots, and international humanitarian settings. Danielle holds a Master of Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Danielle Corley
Dylan is the Head of People Operations at the Centre for Effective Altruism. He cares deeply about solving the world’s most pressing problems, including ending global extreme poverty. He took the One for the World pledge in 2020 and continues to donate 10% of his income through Giving What We Can. Previously, Dylan worked with Open Philanthropy and the Centre for Long-Term Resilience. He has an interdisciplinary background in non-profit operations, philosophy, neuroscience, and computer science. He is based in Berkeley, CA.

Alexei is Head of Systematic PM Solutions at Balyasny Asset Management. He is passionate about applying insights from quantitative finance to make philanthropy more effective and impactful.
Alexei Smirnov
Rupi Sureshkumar is a Senior Product Manager at Google based in NYC, working on Trust & Safety of Google's AI products. Her background and career has been in technology, with a focus on safe technology and more recently, safety in AI products. She is passionate about giving back and believes in the multiplying power of effective giving. She loves the simplicity and power of the One For The World pledge, and is excited for others to discover it too.
